Northstar Church has an opening for a Children's Pastor.

The Children’s Pastor is someone who influences the influencers of the next generation. This person loves children and adults, and is happy to work with both. This person is a catalyst for ministry to the family. They will be someone who will plan, recruit, and work closely with Parents and Kids’ Church Teachers, as they are in the greatest position to influence the young. Lastly, this is someone concerned for the rest of the church body and the surrounding community because they too have an important role in the discipleship and mentoring of parents and children alike.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A clearly demonstrated love for others and willingness to serve, equip, and minister.
  • A fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ as demonstrated by testimony and personal habits.
  • Must be in agreement with theology, vision and values of Northstar Church and its
  • Statement of Faith http://www.northstarchurch.ca/about/our-beliefs
  • A relational and caring heart
  • An ability to take initiative, plan ahead, set priorities and work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow through on commitments
  • Experience in leading and managing volunteers
  • Be sensational at connecting and inspiring children toward a relationship with Jesus.
  • Effective team leadership and listening skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a strong work ethic

Status & Benefits: Part-time
Hours per week: 15-40 hours per week

Hourly wage: $22-25
Directly Accountable to: Lead Pastor
Responsible for: Northstar Kids Ministries
